Today, with the ever-developing market demands and improving technologies, Hercules can offer the same high-specification equipment with a choice of either electric or hydraulic drive. Our bow thrusters and winches can be supplied with a variety of electric motors to meet any demand or voltage requirements. We still offer a total hydraulics service based on expertise built through an in-depth practical experience accumulated over many years, and a high level of engineering and manufacturing capabilities but this has been enhanced and adapted for today’s drive for electrification.

Winches
Anchor Winches
These lightweight hydraulic winches are designed for Offshore Wind Farm Vessels and are built almost entirely from non-ferrous materials weighing to keep weight down, whilst offering rugged and durable performance.
Fishing Winches
Constructed from marinised mild steel winches may be supplied with or without a guide-on facility. A range of rope, combination rope and net capacities with different speeds and pulls to suit the users are available.
Tugger Winches
Designed for tipping, pulling-in or landing the Hercules 3 Ton Tugger Winch is ideally suited to fishing or other demanding applications.
TMA Winches
Marine versions share the same compact dimensions and have all external and major internal surfaces treated with a special marine environment protection process. This process has been developed over several years and gives maximum security and endurance.
Bow Thrusters
Aluminum Bow Thrusters
> Designed for workboats and continuous duty.
> Designed in accordance with Class Rules for transverse thrusters.
> 3 tunnel types for HHBT40 & HHBT60 – Extruded 5083 Aluminum Alloy, Composite E-glass, Mild Steel.
> The extruded 5083 Aluminum Alloy tube is provided with full Class Approved 3.2 Material Certification
> Tunnel length, where supplied, can be cut to any length to suit the installation
> Internal spiral bevel gear for high efficiency. Bent axis, high efficiency, high pressure hydraulic motors.
> Cast Aluminum Alloy Grade LM6 drive pod, aluminum propeller with inbuilt replaceable anodes.
>Encapsulated Pod, Tunnel and tube design makes it failsafe and leak free
>Stainless steel drive shaft, with oil lubricated bearing assembly, via 2 gallon oil tank Mounted above the water line.
Hercules aluminum lightweight, heavy duty bow thrusters are designed for Workboats and Continuous duty. Designed around Class Rules these Bow Thrusters are fully encapsulated and both the HHBT40 and HHBT60 feature a tunnel constructed from Class Approved extruded 5083 grade aluminum, composite E-glass or mild steel. The tunnel may be cut to any length.
The high strength, lightweight construction is, on average, 50% lighter than competitor bronze manufactured units of the same size. With long life and simple maintenance in mind, Hercules Bow Thrusters feature a stainless steel shaft, spiral bevel gears, and a standard SAE flanged interface for a hydraulic motors. This enables the installers to integrate the Thruster into existing hydraulic systems.
